Prerequisite: (For Initial)-No, (For recurrent)- valid previous initial/ recurrent certification (of the same job function)
Target Group: Postal Operators staff responsible for processing of Mail (Non-Dangerous Goods) Dangerous Goods Instructors.

Objectives:
After thorough study and use of this training workbook participants shall be able to:
- Understand the regulatory requirements and correctly apply the provisions of Dangerous
Goods Regulations; - Understand the definition of dangerous goods;
- Gain knowledge of the origin of the current regulations and be aware of the general
philosophy; - Identify potential hidden hazards in commodities declared as general (non-DG) mail;
- Identify the classes of dangerous goods;
- Recognize and identify the hazard/handling labels applicable to dangerous goods;
- Be familiar with dangerous goods emergency response procedures.

CU 0 – Understanding the basics of dangerous goods: | Proficiency Level: 1
- Dangerous goods applicability

- Familiarizing with basic emergency response
CU 3 – Processing or Accepting Mail | Proficiency Level: 3
- Process/ accept Mail (other than dangerous goods)
CU 7 – Collecting safety data: (additional) | Proficiency Level: 2
- Report dangerous goods incidents/ accidents
- Report undeclared/mis declared dangerous goods
